The Name
“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
A building on rock does not move. Does not shift. Does not crack. You build on rock because you are building something that lasts. That is the same reason you build a life on faith — not because it is easy, but because it holds. Built on Rock Foundation exists at that intersection: practical work in the world, grounded in something that endures.
Our Mission
To provide practical housing support, foster genuine community, and create pathways through the trades for people experiencing disadvantage on the Gold Coast — all grounded in Christian faith and the belief that every person deserves a solid foundation.
Our Vision
A Gold Coast where no one sleeps rough for want of community. Where faith is expressed through action, where skills are shared freely, and where the next generation has a trade in their hands and a community behind them.

Builder, director of Improv Build, and the driving force behind Built on Rock Foundation. Jesse has spent his career putting roofs over people's heads — now he's building the community to go with them.
Lauren Amy Hughes
Director
Bringing strategic vision and a heart for community wellbeing to the Foundation's leadership. Lauren ensures our programs are sustainable, inclusive, and genuinely effective.
